A Pone of Cornbread!

A few Days ago I was Tagged By Joanne Moving Forward-Half Speed to share 7 Personality traits of mine. Well Joanne here goes,I'll give it my best shot.

In my lifetime I have been referred to as "One of A Kind" also "You dance to the beat of a different drummer". Then there's "They broke the mold when they made you",get my drift? Then theres my all time favorite "She's not hard to understand...She's as plain as a pone of cornbread". This used to hurt my feelings because when I was young I thought "Why am I so different?" As I got older I decided I was just "unique". Here are 7 of my Personality Traits,good and bad.

1.Honesty: Very,I know there are times we all have to tell little white lies,just to keep from hurting someone's feeling,but even then I feel guilty.I have been told that I am "brutally honest",but I'm working on that.

2.Compassinate: Yes,I'm the kind that roots for the underdog,I always try to put myself in their shoes,I feel everyone's pain,that load gets pretty heavy sometimes and has caused me problems in the past but I will still look for the good in all.

3.Responsible: More than I have ever been in my life.

4.Self Control: This is where I lose it. When it comes to taking care of myself. I'm a smoker and I eat all the wrong things.

5.Adaptability: I'm awful,I hate change.

6.Patience: Yes,this is something I have had to learn the hard way.

7.Decisiveness: Yes,I'm one of those boring people that thinks things to death before I make a move.

Well there you have it,little ole me. About the things people always said about me? As time marched on I decided if I was a rich little old lady,living in a big mansion,they would just call me "ECCENTRIC". I kinda like that one. I'm suppose to tag 7 people but most that follow me have already been tagged so I will let them off the hook,but if any of you would like to share with us your 7 Personality Traits,I would love it.

So, the next time you're at the pump, be glad your car doesn't run on water, Scope, Whiteout, or God forbid Pepto Bismal or Nyquil.

Max and Maggie......Ready for Bed!

We are waiting on Mama
She's on her way
And when she get's in here
Me and Maggie will pray

Now I lay me down to sleep,
The king-size bed is soft and deep.
I sleep right in the center groove
My Mama she can hardly move!

I've trapped her legs, she's tucked in tight
And here is where I pass the night
No one disturbs me or dares intrude
Till morning comes and "I want food!"

I sneak up slowly to begin
my nibbles on my Mama's chin.
She wakes up quickly,
I have sharp teeth-

I'm her baby, don't you see?
For the morning's here
and it's time to play
I always seem to get my way.


So thank you Lord for giving me
This loving Mama that I see.
The one who hugs and holds me tight
And shares her bed with me at night

Longest Yard Sale '09

Several of us went to the longest yard sale this past weekend,we had such a good time exploring. I got quite a few goodies along the way. We had to go at the crack of dawn because it was so hot that day but we love it. We shopped till we dropped(from the heat). Just thought I would share a few pictures my Granddaughter took.



I just adore these old stores.




I have always wanted one of these,there just like my grandmother had when I was a child. Not this year,they wanted 400 dollars each.

My Very First Award!

I am so thrilled........Today I got my first ever award! Gertrude Groggins over at Abstract Arboretum gave it to me and I just love it. Please visit her blog,you never know what she is up to next and she is such a sweetheart. I have to go now and climb down from cloud 9. Thanks again Gertrude. She left me no certain rules but I will be passing this along soon.
