Christmas is Over and it Kinda Makes Me Sad

Just popping in to say hello. I have been catching up on my blog reading and am glad to hear everyone had a good Christmas,I sure did. Anytime all the family is here is a good time. Now that Christmas is over it's a little sad tho. It seems that for the next few months everything will be dark and dreary and kind of a let down with nothing to look forward to,but maybe it's just me. But there is still New Years Eve! Do any of you have a big night planned? When I was young and growing up in the city that was always a very special night. Parties everywhere, going from house to house to celebrate and then that magical moment at midnight! Those were the days. Now I'm sure I will be home with a few friends and family dropping by(maybe I can stay awake long enough to see the ball drop). I returned to work this past Saturday, after my bout with pneumonia, but I'm having to take it slow. I'm not quite 100% but I'm getting there. Guess I'll stop rambling for now and get off of here. Just thought I would show you all this picture of Bailee in her little Miss Claus outfit. Her first Christmas really tired her out.

  1. I'm the same way about the month after Christmas, or actually the four months after Christmas! Especially if it's cloudy or rainy or windy. Glad you're feeling better. And I know you enjoyed Christmas with that new baby!

  2. Having Christmas in Summer helps as it's holiday beach time too as well as a new year coming along.Hope you loose those Winer blues quickly and warm to a happy New Year.

  4. What a little angel!! Yes, Christmas can tire all of us out! New Year's eve will be pretty quiet around her, I hope!

  5. I think Christmas tires people out because ALL the family holidays happen within one month! Plus there's all the man made expectations. IT'S A WRAP! Exit stage left!

  6. Taking it slow is good! You need to recuperate, not just from your recent bout of pneumonia but also, Christmas!

  7. I love the picture of the little darling in her Santa outfit!

You've got to find a project to keep you busy during the next month or two, but make it easy. :)

  8. Awwwwww, I love the little Bailee Santa, just precious! I'm glad you had a good Christmas but take it easy. Pneumonia is nasty stuff.

Ya'll have a fantastic New Year from the hills and hollers of the Ponderosa!!!

  10. I kinda feel that way too. Christmas is my favorite time of year and I feel sad I have to wait for a whole year before it comes around again. But, it will be here before we know it 'cause 2009 just flew by!
