As I've been saying,I have done a little changing around lately. I haven't brought out the sewing machine in years but decided I would try my luck at it again. So I made some valances but something was missing so then I took an old frame I had stashed back and covered where the picture goes with the same cloth and added my initial. Maybe corny but I like the end result and I surprized myself,I really enjoyed sewing again. Think I'll recover the porch furniture next.. Look out! More redo's in the future.
and the end result.

Now aint you talented.
ReplyDeleteThat looks really nice!! You are talented.
ReplyDeleteVery clever! I can completely relate to that itch to change things up a bit...or a lot.
ReplyDeleteLooks wonderful my friend.....:-) Hugs
ReplyDeleteGood job! I have a basic Singer sewing machine circa 1960s, and have probably used it only a dozen times in the 40 years since. Instead of relaxing and challenging me, it irritates and frustrates me!
ReplyDeleteI like it,,I would have had to use a "tow-sack" if i had made cutains,,:)
ReplyDeleteGreat job~! I'll just send you my window measurements ..ok? lol...Love the valences great job on everything....cant wait to see the changes...

Sewing gets me SO STRESSED because I want to see the finished product. Then I RUSH and GUARANTEE a screw up. SOooooo.....I thought maybe a NEW sewing machine might help. A computerized sewing machine would moisten my appetite for self-imposed misery. I got it two weeks ago. It's still in the "junk room" sitting in the corner.
ReplyDeleteHow creative! I've never seen a frame like that, but your addition to it is perfect; looks like it was made for the fabric and initial!
ReplyDeleteSo Creative! I used to love to sew, just don't have the time anymore with a little one running around but maybe someday I'll get back to it. For now, writting my blog is about as creative as it gets Lol!
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed! Looks very nice. Keep at it, and always show it off on the blog!
