Yes I know it's been a month today since I have posted and I'm so far behind reading all of your blogs, missed it. Time is going by so fast and seems not much goes right anymore. You know the petty crap of everyday living that drives you nuts like car repairs and grocery shopping and bills and work and on and on....Not to mention that a life long friend of mine past away in September. But on to the lighter side....
We had the best pears of all this year.....now where was I?
So,I thought I should play a little catch up on a few of the things that have kept me from my blogging. I decided it was time to get rid of some of my junk(that's what the kids call it)that I can't seem to stop buying at yard sales(also a thing that kept me from my blog).. So I cleared out the spare room(can't show you the before shot or you would think me a hoarder)and donated most to charity, all but this....
I took this old dresser out of there(whoops forgot the bottom part wasn't in this photo)I'm losing it.
and painted it like this
and put it back in the spare room and now I have a sewing room.
of course in the mist of the work I just had to go out for my most favorite meal, wow, now I'm starving again.
I just Love Shrimp Scampi
and then Bailee Grace turned 1 on the 23rd,she's a dandy.
and today I baked a Banana Pudding Cake, got to fatten everyone up.
till next time~Dinah~

Banana Pudding CAKE? Sounds delish! Would you share your recipe?
ReplyDeleteLOVE the green dresser - you are soooo very creative.
Sorry about your friend. I recently lost someone myself, so I can empathise.
Oh my goodness you have been busy...I just love how the dresser looks after you painted it and your sewing room is beautiful. How nice that you have your own special place to go do something you love.
ReplyDeleteWe just recently painted the little's bedrooms and went through all of their toys and stuff...we are getting rid of a bunch of it and threw out and recycled a bunch of it too. Our plan is to do this through out our whole house...to just simplify and make it easier to keep up.
Little Bailee Grace is quite dandy...how adorable is she!
I am sorry about the loss of your friend. ((((Dinah)))

Oh, I love what you did with the dresser! And the "junk," as your kids call it...those things are your creative canvases.
ReplyDeleteSo there...LOL
I collect things, too, but nothing I collect can be turned into something else. I don't have that particular talent.
