Let's Go for a Ride!

I don't know if any of you have noticed but I have been kind of speechless for the last couple of weeks. Most of the time this is when I would normally go for a ride or shopping. Come along with me and this is what you might see. Some think I live in the sticks but for me,it's home.

The view from my front yard

This is what you see pulling out of my driveway

Ok,here we go

I love to see cotton growing

Moving right along

This was inside of a restaurant where we had breakfast

We almost got ran over trying to take this one

I just love these antebellum homes

This is Scary!

And there are more of these "Did you Know" videos on You Tube that are even more thought provoking. It's possible I'm the last to know this stuff, things are changing so fast, but that's ok. I thought I was getting a little senile,I now know there is just to much information to process. Is there anyone else out there riding with me in the slow lane? I kind of like it back here.

I'm finally Home

I guess I should let you all know how my road trip went. It went straight to hell!! Everything went wrong and that is an understatement, believe me. I'm not going to give details because I don't want to go there again in my memories, but I did learn one valuable lesson while I was gone. I now know where I belong and where I am loved. It will be awhile before I have any desire to tread far from home again. This is one time that I should have heeded the warnings. My heart kept telling me not to do this right now. So I will let this song tell you my feelings while I was away.

A Lesson in Life........Temper Control

I'm sure most have heard this story but I don't think we ever get too old to be reminded to be kind to one another.

There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. His father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the fence.

The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily, gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence. Finally the day came when the boy didn’t lose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper.

The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone. The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He said “you have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one.”

You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. It won’t matter how many times you say I’m sorry, the wound is still there.

Make sure you control your temper the next time you are tempted to say something you will regret later.

Miss Bailee Grace

I would like you to meet my Great-Granddaughter,Bailee Grace. 7lbs2oz,she arrived yesterday. She is so beautiful and when she sleeps she sounds like a little baby kitten whining.Just makes me want to call her Kitty(I will try to refrain). I only thought it proper to introduce her because I'm sure you all will be hearing a lot about this little one. Mother is doing great thanks to all your prayers, thank you.
